William J. Ryan

Will represents clients in a wide range of family law cases, including dissolutions, parentage cases, domestic violence proceedings, post-Decree litigation, and in the drafting and negotiation of prenuptial agreements. Through careful strategic planning, Will works to ensure that he is advancing his clients’ goals at every stage of their litigation. He believes that the best way to negotiate a favorable settlement is to always be prepared for trial. He is skilled at helping clients navigate their relationship with the Guardian ad Litem when allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time are at issue and at using the discovery process to achieve his clients’ financial goals.

Prior to joining Beermann LLP in 2023, Will was an associate at Columbus’ largest family law firm. Will graduated from Ohio State University in 2014 and Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2018. He is a member of the George and Raymond Frank Foundation’s Board of Directors, which operates a boys’ summer camp in Weld, Maine. He is also a member of the Patrons’ Board of a Catholic school in Chicago.

Will was recommended to me by another lawyer when my husband was looking for someone in the Chicago area to assist with custody paperwork. His original divorce was in Michigan and we had to transfer the child support to Illinois before we could file updated paperwork for my step-son to move to Ohio with us full time. Will was awesome to work with. We had to do everything exclusively online and he made sure we knew exactly what we needed to do and when and helped us get everything completed in time for my step-son to start school here at the beginning of the year. Attorney fees are always pricey but Will was extremely fair with his pricing and billing and helped us keep our costs as low as possible.
