About Justin R. Smith
Justin R. Smith focuses his practice exclusively on family law, providing clients with compassionate and strategic representation in divorce, parentage, support, and adoption matters.
Recognized for his attentive and composed presence, Justin approaches every case with care and intention, crafting solutions that reflect each client’s unique circumstances and vision for the future. Justin R. Smith received his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law where he also earned a Certificate in Family Law. During law school, Justin represented clients in divorce and parentage matters through Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) under a 711 license. He also volunteered with Ascend Justice, advocating for survivors of domestic violence seeking Orders of Protection in Cook County. Before being admitted to the Illinois Bar, Justin clerked at Beermann LLP for over a year, gaining practical experience in all aspects of domestic relations.
