About Jessica E. Alvarez
Jessica E. Alvarez focuses her practice exclusively on divorce and family law. She counsels her clients on a variety of issues including prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, maintenance, child support, division of property, complex financial issues, allocation of parental responsibilities, and parenting time. Ms. Alvarez is passionate about family law and prides herself in working tirelessly for her clients and responding swiftly to everyday issues.
As a child of divorced parents, Ms. Alvarez understands the highly emotional nature of family law proceedings. She focuses on listening to her clients, ensuring that their voices are heard, and helping them achieve their short-term and long-term goals. Ms. Alvarez strives to create an attorney-client relationship that is built on communication and trust.
Ms. Alvarez received her undergraduate degree from DePaul University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. After graduating, she externed for the Honorable Judge Jean M. Cocozza of the Domestic Relations Division of Cook County. Thereafter, Ms. Alvarez attended DePaul University College of Law where she made the Dean’s List and was actively involved in the family law community, serving as the President of the Child and Family Law Association. In addition to her law degree, Ms. Alvarez also earned a certificate in family law. Prior to her admission to the Illinois Bar, Ms. Alvarez began her career as a law clerk at Beermann LLP and continues on as an Associate.
