To be represented by a Fellow of the AAML is to be represented by a leading practitioner in the field of family law as they are highly skilled negotiators and litigators who represent individuals in all facets of family law. While there are thousands of family law attorneys in the State of Illinois, less than 150 are AAML Fellows. Academy Fellows enjoy a reputation for professionalism, competence, and integrity. They are recognized by judges, other attorneys, and clients as the gold standard for family law. To become a Fellow, attorneys must demonstrate years of dedication to the practice and pass a rigorous review process which includes a written national exam, written and oral state exams, and the recommendations of the family lawyers in their AAML chapter.
